Wedding Photography FAQ

  • I will travel all over Colorado & beyond for your wedding! Some of my favorite areas include Steamboat Springs, Aspen, Telluride, Breckenridge, & Rocky Mountain National Park. I’m happy to also photograph weddings locally in Denver, Colorado Springs, Boulder, & the front range. Traveling is one of my favorite parts of my work!

  • Getting started is simple. Reach out through my contact form to get my full pricing guide, & schedule a call—I’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

  • I have hiked everything for an elopement from a ½ mile walk in the forest to a 35 mile backpacking trip with 5,700 feet of elevation gain. There is very little I won’t do!

  • Weather is a tricky beast, but I always plan ahead to react to bad weather appropriately. We’ll have backup plans in place in case the weather isn’t quite on our side! It’s pretty normal to see afternoon/evening thunderstorms in the summer and blizzard conditions in the winter. Preparation and embracing what nature provides is key!

  • I offer two different package/pricing models.

You can opt to go for a premade wedding packages which include an engagement session, different tiers of hourly coverage, and options for 1 or 2 photographers.

Alternatively if you are eloping or having a more non-traditional wedding I have options for a la carte hourly packages which are a little more basic.

All packages, no matter what will always include social media usage and print rights, a fully edited gallery, high resolution digital downloads, unlimited planning time, custom timelines, my client portal, my wedding guide, flexible payment plans, and my many years of expertise at your disposal!

  • I’m candid, authentic, and shoot in a fun prompted documentary style. There’s a big difference between prompting and posing. Posing is more restrictive where a photographer would tell the subject(s) to act and hold themselves a certain way. Prompting is a little more freeing, I give light direction to help you on the way and let you take the lead from there. It’s easy to follow and helps build fun memories!

The only times true posing comes out is if you actually need that sort of direction (just ask!) and for formal portraits such as the ones with your family and wedding party.

  • There are two options for that. If I’m local to your venue I’ll simply call and find a time to go check it out if I am given permission to do so.

If I am not local, or a venue tour cannot be accommodated in advance I show up SUPER early day of your wedding to have a walk around. I often find this second option to be more helpful as it helps me better understand the lighting in the space you are getting married on the day of your wedding.

  • Since 2019 I have been photographing weddings and elopements professionally! I have photographed over 150 real weddings.

  • Absolutely! I have a location questionnaire I’ll have you fill out so I can find the best spots for your session to pick from.

  • This is one of my most commonly asked questions and the answer is actually simple. There are so many gorgeous accessible, and even private spots where you can elope if you don’t hike within Colorado.
