Colorado Wildflower Elopement in Steamboat Springs
Steamboat Springs, Colorado has to be one of my favorite mountain towns in the world. That’s no exaggeration. From the community, the plethora of amazing restaurant options, and so many different outdoor activities I get “Fomo” just trying to plan a weekend there you can’t go wrong with this amazing area of Northern Colorado for your adventure elopement.
Amber and David knew that better than anyone. They both grew up in this town and came back for their elopement. They wanted wildflowers, and they got them by timing out the perfect date in early July. They got all of the best of Steamboat Springs that day. Perfect summer weather with the lightest wind to cool down and a sunset that would make anyone stare in awe. They got ready for their day at David’s childhood home, Amber baked a cake earlier in the day for them to enjoy after their vows. I was so excited to also be their florist! Amber’s vision for a natural looking wildflower bouquet was right up my alley. They enjoyed a first look in the backyard which also happened to be a stunning Aspen grove. Did you know that Aspen groves are actually one root mass? That makes Aspen groves the largest living organism on the planet.
After we drove up a pass and started our hike among the wildflowers. Amber’s black dress was truly stunning as it sparkled in the sunlight. We took portraits until the very last moment of blue hour setting on us.
