Kancamagus Highway Elopement

On a cold evening the leaves of the White Mountain forest fell early and winter in the mountains began to set in. The day of Bridget and Theresa’s elopement the sun warmed the cold landscape close to sunset. It was windy, but these two just wanted to say their vows and get married. They spent their day peacefully in their rented Conway cabin before heading to the spot we agreed on for their elopement with their sweet dog Burger.

They married at Beaver Pond in Kinsman Notch out on a rock peninsula jutting into the icy waters. The few leaves left on the trees seemed to glow in the setting sun. Other spots we visited for portraits included a quiet riverfront spot along New Hampshire’s Kancamagus Highway, one of the most popular spots for New Hampshire adventure elopements, before we visited Lincoln Woods and Hancock Overlook. The Kancamagus Highway is one of my favorite areas for elopements, but I usually recommend venturing a bit further off the beaten path in the fall due to tourism.
