Look Park Wedding
I went to college in western Massachusetts, it was the first thing I noticed about Sarah & Rachel’s wedding inquiry when it popped up in my inbox one morning. As I ready their inquiry I felt immediately connected to them in the most unexpected of ways. I could feel their humanity and compassion through what they wrote alone. That intuition wasn’t wrong, these two wonderful women are some of the best humans I’ve ever met.
Their day was them through and through. It was a celebration of love, not just their love, but the freedom and ability for all love to be able to be celebrated through marriage. Starting off at The Hotel Northhampton located minutes from the venue, Sarah and Rachel got ready together before separating to put on their stunning bridal gowns. First, Rachel and her sister helped their mom into her dress. She looked almost a beautiful and happy as the two brides. Sarah got ready in the bridal suite with her mom in the meantime.
Before boarding the adorable trolley to the park, they had a first look outside the hotel in a quiet garden. First looks aren’t just here for practical purposes, these two truly absorbed this intimate moment together. The park they got married in was an amazing old growth pine forest surrounded by manicured gardens. It where the wild meets the cultivated. After portraits throughout golden hour we went to celebrate in cocktail hour and their perfectly choreographed first dance in the elegant garden house reception space. It was the warmest and coziest atmosphere with a fire burning behind their sweetheart table.
I probably cried close to half a dozen times for various reasons at this wedding. Between their vows of pure love and the toasts at the reception it was enough to bring anyone to tears.
